In this post I am going to be discussing some new things about the new Zune software that was released September 15th, 2009. First of all, the Zune firmware update that they did for the older generations the 3.20 update I think has NO good changes in my opinion because it all seems similar to me. The one thing that I do like about the new software is the Quick Play tab which is the first tab you see in the Zune software. In the Quick Play tab you can see new songs that you added or a history of songs.

You can also pin songs to the Quick play so that it will be easier for you to access the song / album. Microsoft also added a new feature which is called DJ Mix. What DJ mix does is it finds songs similar to for example Green Day if you have green day songs. It will search all your music and try and find similar songs to that.

There is also an app section in the marketplace which I think SUCKS! Mainly because all the apps for it are for the ZuneHD which is terrible because I think that everybody who has a Zune deserves to enjoy the apps that it has. Below are some pictures of the new Zune software and a video that I did demonstrating it. I know the audio is not all that great but its the best I can do for now. The last thing that they also added is the Mini Player which is very similar to the mini player for Windows Media Player. It minimizes the player down to your Taskbar and you can pause it / go to the next song and change volume.
