So, today Saturday, April 3rd YouTube emailed me. The email was basically telling me that one of my videos (Windows 7 XP Mode) was eligible for revenue sharing and that I was eligible to become a partner. This is good news for me as it has been a dream / goal of mine to become a YouTube partner. They had me go through a tutorial and fill out information like my ad sense account information and such. One reason I would want to be a YouTube partner is so I can customize my channel. Another reason is so I can get my YouTube channel and blog known.
I just really hope I get accepted and if you want to help me, please subscribe to my YouTube channel at http://youtube.com/recoonx. Thanks guys!
I recently decided to give away my Creative Vado which is the first generation.
The reason why I am giving this away is because I bought a new High-Def camcorder and I will be using that more. Watch the video to find out how to win. The Vado specs can be found Here.
For those of you that don’t know, port forwarding has to be done to host web servers, game servers, voice servers or to just play a game online. To do this you have to know your router’s default gateway which is around 192.168.*.* . To find the gateway you have to open up the command prompt (cmd.exe) and once you have the command prompt open you would type the following command “ipconfig/all” or just “ipconfig”. Then scroll down the list until you find default gateway. Once you have your default gateway you will also need to know your computers IP Address which is NOT 72.*.* it is around the same as the gateway, 192.168.*.* .
Once you find that you will have to access your routers gateway by going into an internet browser such as Firefox and type in http:// 192.168.*.* without the asterisk marks and the space. Then it may ask you to log in and by default depending on the router the user name and pass word could be admin, admin, admin password, or password, password. If you don’t know it simply google your router, followed by default password and usernames. Then go to Virtual Servers or it may be known as Port forwarding or range forwarding again it depends. Once you go there you will have an option to enable it and it will ask you for the application name which can be anything doesn’t necessarily need to be the actual application.
Then you can type in the port and the range and your ip address then select Save Changes. That’s basically it and the video guide may help too.
