Hey guys, I want to tell you about a nice alternative to the default Vista and Windows XP start menu. This utility is called Vista Start Menu, although its not just for vista. It works on Vista And XP and 2000+. This utility uses your visual memory.
Whenever you install or uninstall programs the programs in your start menu shift or switch places. This tool doesn’t make the programs change places in your start menu. Vista Start Menu also has the search function that is not in the Windows XP start menu but it is in the Vista start menu. The search function makes it much easier to locate programs faster.
This program has the option to customize it, use autorun, and has a Quickstart option. In the PRO version it has a single click launch feature. Stay tuned for a video of me reviewing this tool.
Today I talk about BumpTop. BumpTop is another 3D desktop application that turns your icons in 3D! BumpTop has recently been released to the public and is out of the beta stages. BumpTop has the option to update your twitter within the program and also supports facebook and emailing. If you have a picture that you want to upload and post to your twitter account all you have to do with BumpTop is drag and drop the picture into the Twitter icon and it will automatically upload to TwitPic and update your Twitter.
With the email feature it’s very similar. If you want to attach an item to the email all you have to do is drag and drop the file into the email icon. Whats different then BumpTop and Shock 3D Desktop is the picture frames on the walls, Twitter support, Facebook support, I also think that the Sticky Note feature is new. What the picture frames allow you to do is create a slideshow of your pictures or a feed of pictures and it will cycle through those pictures. You can add more then one.
For the sticky notes, In the free version you can only add two sticky notes and in the pro version you can add any amount of sticky notes. Also in the pro version you have the ability to flip through your stacks and when you preview things like html documents their will not be a watermark and in the free version there is a watermark. BumpTop has votes on what features to add/re-add and remove. Watch my video about Bumptop and check it out at http://bumptop.com
Apple unveiled another version of the iPod Shuffle. This new iPod shuffle talks to YOU! You guys might find that a little creepy that the new iPod shuffle talks to you but it names the artists and songs. When you purchase this iPod shuffle you will find that the ear bud cords are different. They are different because found on the cord are volume controls like play and stop, the basic things.
With the original iPod Shuffle you couldn’t tell what song you were listening to at all so I guess this beats the original. On apples website it says that the price is $79.00 for 4GB. That is pretty cheap. By what I see it comes in only 4GB.
As stated by Apples website it says it has a capacity of 1,000 songs. The original iPod shuffles are around $50. Apple says its the smallest iPod but maybe compared to the original shuffle it is bigger. The colors that the shuffle comes in is white and black.
When you purchase the new iPod shuffle with VoiceOver from apple’s website you can choose to engrave it with a custom message and select “This is a giftâ€. You can also skip the engraving process. After your all done you go to a page that says “Customers also bought…â€. On that page they have In ear buds that has a remote and Mic. Here are the pictures of the original shuffle and the new one.
